Hi Grishma

Here are the most commonly used options in VBA:

Option Explicit – This forces the user to make explicit declaration of all variables in a file using the Dim or ReDim statements. An error occurs if you attempt to use an undeclared variable name.

Option Compare Text – This forces the code to compare the whole string and not just the characters in any comparison eg. Home = home

Option Compare Binary – The default state in VBA. This compares the characters in the string and ignores the fact that the words may match eg. Home <> home (not equal)

Option Base 1 – Used to declare the default lower bound for arrays. This statement is never required, because the default base is 0. You use the Option Base to change the default lower bound to 1. The Option Base statement only affects the lower bound of arrays in the module where the statement is located.

If used, the Option statements must appear in the Declarations area of a module before any procedures.

Hope this helps

Carlos

Excel tip:

Using Excel's MODE function

Use Excel's MODE function to display the most common value present in a particular range of cells.

The Mode function looks like this:

=MODE(cell range)

As an example, if 35 is the most commonly recurring number in a particular cell range, then the function will display 35.
