Once I have amended a quick part ie change a logo, although called the same, will it change every instance or do I have to reinsert the quick part

RE: building blocks - updating logos

Dear Chris

Thank you for attending Word Intermediate course. I hope you enjoyed the course and benefited from it.

This is a very interesting question. Unfortunately Quick Parts don't work like Styles. Although, it would be great if they did!!

It is important to understand that QuickPart are an alternative to AutoText. In addition to only using Text you can now include pictures within Quick Parts.

Once you create a QuickPart with the logo and text and have inserted it in various sections of your document and decided to change the logo then you'll have to replace the Logo manually and over-write the previous QuickPart. Please note that it will not replace the logos on the existing QuickParts. You'll have to manually have to insert the new QuickPart with the new logo.

If there is a better method of carrying out the task that you wish to do then I'll research into it and notify you.

Please mark this post as resolved if you believe that I have answered your question!! Or press reply button and ask your more specific question!!

Many thanks

Kindest Regards
