Hi Patrick

How are you, sorry i haven't got back to you sooner

Well firstly you need to have file file open and then add this theme to used in the themes area, under save current theme - name the theme as needed by DONT change the file location

Then when you open the slide master of the new PPT, you can go back to the themes and then the theme should be there for you to use it again or as many times as you need it, if you want to format this after you have applied it do this in slide master

That should do the trick
