Exporting to Excel

Is there any way to export a report to excel?
I need to produce a list of tasks for all resources & have found a custom report entitled "To Do List" which suites my purpose. However I would like to export this information to excel. Can anyone help please?

RE: Exporting to Excel

Hi Cheryl

Thank you for your question. There is no way to convert a report to excel. An alternative would be to filter the chart to show the tasks you are interested in (Project > Filtered for > Using Resource) then click the select all square (above the row numbers and to the left of the column names). From the edit menu choose Copy Cell and switch to Excel. Paste the contents of the clipboard into Excel and you will have just the filtered tasks for your chosen resource.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards, Andrew

Ms project tip:

Autofit column width – Project (all versions)

a. Highlight the column or columns you wish to alter the width of.
b. Double click the dividing line between the columns. This dividing line is the break between the columns on the column headers (grey buttons showing the column letter at the top of each column). When you hover your mouse over one of these dividing lines the point will change and show an arrow pulling a line in two directions. When you have this mouse pointer you should double click to get Project to automatically set the column width to fit the contents of the column (autofit)
