I can help you with the second part of your question and refer the first part on to one of my collegues.
Copy the information you wish to move horizontally and then choose paste special and check transpose.

Thank you for your question.
If you look up NETWORKDAYS in Excel help, this will explain how this function works....basically it will give you the number of working days between two dates (excludes weekends and public holidays in it's count of days).
