Peju has attended:
Outlook Advanced course

Calendar

I have set up a calendar that I want others to be able to access. I have granted permision on the calendar, but they still cannot view it. What do I do?

For upcoming training course dates see: Pricing & availability

RE: Calendar

Hi Peju

Thank you for your question. In the first instance you probably need to speak to whoever looks after your IT network to confirm you have the ability to share Outlook folders such as your calendar. In some organisations the sharing of calendars only permitted by network administrators.

Let us know how you get on.

Kind regards,
Andrew

RE: Calendar

We do have the ability to share calendars in my office (Outlook). This newly set up calendar is for the booking of the meeting room, and I need everyone to have access/view.

Thanks for your help.

RE: Calendar

Hi Peju

To share the calendar with the whole company:

1. Click "Share My Calendar" in the Calendar view

2. On the Permissions tab, in the Name box, click Default.

3. Under Permissions, in the Permission Level list, click a permission level.

If they are not allowed to enter meetings, but need to see them, select "Reviewer"

If they are all allowed to enter meetings but you need to prevent them changing other people's meetings select "Author"

If the are allowed full access select "Editor"

The calendar should now be seen by the whole company.

Hope this helps

Carlos

RE: Calendar

Thanks Carlos, but that's not working. I have done that, and they still are unable to view the calendar. I hope you are able to help.

Thanks

RE: Calendar

Hi Peju

Have you shared your calendar with others and is that arrangement working fine?

If you set up the sharing as above and the people you want to share the calendar with are setup on the same exchange server as you then it sounds like a technical problem and you need to check with your IT department as to why this is not working.

Hope this helps

Carlos
