Merging presentations

I quite often merge one or more presentations (keeping the key source formatting) to create a master file for use at events so the presentations run on straight after each other. I would like to know if there's an automatic way to start the ren-umbering process of slides at the beginning of each new presentation? At the moment I have to re-number them manually.

RE: Merging presentations

Hi Christie

Thank you for your question and welcome to the forum.

I have a couple of questions about your query - if you can reply back to me then I will be in a better position to be able to look into this for you.

1. When you say you merge the presentations together, how are you doing this (i.e. what steps do you follow)?

2. Are you referring to the number for the slides when they are on screen, or when the presentation is printed, or both?

thanks
Amanda

Powerpoint tip:

Ways to make exact copies of shapes

There are several ways of making exact copies (duplicates) of shapes you have already drawn in PowerPoint:

1. Use Copy and Paste.

2. Select the shape you wish to duplicate and use Ctrl + D.

3. Select the shape to be duplicated, then hold down the Ctrl key while you drag to the position where you want the duplicate shape to appear.
