Hello Anne

Thank you for your question and welcome to the forum.

You can automate your slide show using transitions and animations.

You will find both of these features under the Slide Show menu in PowerPoint.

Animations allow you to add effects to text or objects on your slides, so they move onto the slides in slide show view.

Transitions allow you to add an effect between slides; and/or make one slide change to another after a designated period of time (i.e. slides change without you having to manually control this).
