Hi Steve

Thanks for your question. The baseline captures values for your tasks (Start, Finish, Duration, Work and Cost) so that you can compare your live project position for each of those values with those agreed at the project start.

The baseline can be saved by going to Tools > Tracking > Save baseline and quickly viewed by going to the Tracking Gantt view.

Giving Someone a Gantt Chart Snapshot

To pass on a picture of a Gantt chart segment, choose the appropriate view, select the rows to be included, then click on the camera icon and select For Screen. The graphics image can be pasted into another document. (See Paste icon forn Project 2010)
