Hi Ross

Thank you for your question - welcome to the forum!

Negative lag or lead time can be used to refine the model represented by your Gantt Chart.

Either double clicking a successor task name and choosing the predecessor tab or double clicking on the the arrow that connects successor and predecessor takes you to a dialog box that allows you to enter postive or negative lag.

Negative lag brings the sucessor task earlier in the plan and is often used to represent starting tasks earier than scheduled in order to bring a project back into line with its baseline.

Email a Task

When you need to communicate important information to your project staff use Microsoft Project 2003 to send them a note using outlook or an e-mail system.

1.In a task sheet, select the task or tasks which you want to send a project note.

2.On the File menu, point to Send To, and then select Mail Recipient (as Schedule Note).

3.Under Address message to, select the recipients of your note.
