Hi Liz
Thanks for your question. A quick way to link your projects is to create a new blank project. From the Insert menu choose Insert project... then select the first of the projects you'd like to link. Repeat the process to insert your second project.
In the combined view drag a link between the relevant tasks in the two projects you'd like to join. If necessary double click on the link between the tasks to choose the type of relationship required.
When you've finished close all the files, save all the changes. If you don't need the overview you can delete it and the embedded projects will still remain linked.
