Hi,
I was wondering if it owuld be possible to put headers and footers inside excel spreadsheet cells?

Essentially what I'm trying to do is draw up a rough calender where I would put the number of the date in the corner of a cell, but be able to write in the cell freely.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,
You can put in Headers and Footers by using the View menu and down to Header and Footer. Either use the standard setting which are where the drop down menus are, or you can customise it for your own choice of header/footer.

Regarding your rough calendar, you can use Outlook which already has a pre-set calendar, or you could use Word where you can create a template or create tables in Word? (Tables>Insert)

Let me know if it something we can help you out with

Tracy

Excel tip:

Use shortcut keys to select rows or columns

Most users use the mouse to select rows or columns. It may be more convenient to use keyboard shortcuts to do that.

The shortcut key combination to select an entire row is Shift+Spacebar.

The shortcut key combination to select an entire column is Ctrl+Spacebar.

These are pretty easy to remember as the spacebar looks like a long row (or column if you're looking at it sideways). Remember that Ctrl, beginning with C, selects columns and Shift, by a process of elimination, the rows.
