Thank you for attending Access Intermediate course!! I hope you enjoyed the course and benefited from it.
It is possible to append fields even if they don't have the same field names.
When you convert your select query to an append query normally this query matches all the names that are same in the other table.
On the grid box you'll notice that Append to section appears and all the matching fields are automatically entered in this section. The ones where the field names are different you will notice that it leaves the Append to section blank. You have to manually select the field that it relates to in the other table and then run the query. This should be able to append the records.
