RE: Delegating Work to mange your time

Hello Trevor,

Hope you enjoyed your time Management course with BEST Training.
Thank you for your question regarding delegating.

The best way to find the answer to your question, is to ask yourself
"Why do I feel uncomfortable delegating?"
Write down tha answerts on a piece of paper.

The reason why I suggest this is because then you know exactly what you are dealing with. There is no point in applying a solution until you know why you are uncomfortable.

Here are some of the reasons why you might feel uncomfortable delegating:

- I could do it better myself.
- I don't know if I can trust her to do it.
- He isn't qualified to do it.
- She doesn't want any added responsibilities.
- I don't have the time to show anyone how to do it.
- There is no one else to delegate to.
- He already has enough to do.
- I don't want to give up this task because I like doing it.
- I'm the only person who knows how to do this.
- She messed up last time, so I'm not giving her anything else to do.

Once you know why, then you can start to deal with the cause of your discomfort.

Let me know how you do and we can take the next step when you are ready.

How are your 15min morning planning sessions going?

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Time Management question?

Have a great day.
Regards,

Richard
