Word 2003 Toolbar buttons

I have created a new button in the toolbar for a style I have created called Bold. I have replaced words default Bold button with my new one and have saved this in my normal.dot and a template I have created.

I would like the rest of the company to have this toolbar button aswell. But I wondered if I would need to do the same process of adding the new toolbar button on everyone's machine or would this toolbar button I have created and saved in my template be useable to everyone without adding to their Word?

Many thanks

RE: Word 2003 Toolbar buttons

Hi Katie,

Thank you for your question.

I suppose the quickest way to transfer your settings across the company is to deploy your "normal.dot" on to the group template. This is best done by your IT department.

Unfortunately if you don't have a group template at your company, I suggest you email your "normal.dot" template file to all staff with the instructions to replace their original Word normal template.

Kind regards,

Word tip:

Inserting a blank row above a table at the top of a page

This only works if you have created your table at the top of a page.

Go into the first cell and make sure cursor is at start of cell (if you have typed in it) and press RETURN this then puts a blank line above your table.
