Resource Leveling

If a specific trade of resource is only available within a certain period of the year, (even when there is is another available resource of the same trade when the first one is not available), it does not show that there is an available Resource within the Max Units Coloumn. Why does this not show as the resource is available?

RE: Resource Leveling

Hi Christine

Thank you for your question. The Max Units column as used on the resource sheet is an input field rather than a calculated field. In other words you provide the Max Units percentage and Project then looks to see if your resources have enough capacity to accommodate the planned work.

You may wish to create separate resource entries for each of your resources (even thought they are the same trade) perhaps grouping them using the group field.

This way you can specify their respective availability either by modifying their calendars or by setting their availability (double click on a resource and see the general tab)

I hope this helps. Do let us know if you have any further information or questions.

Kind regards,
Andrew
