RE: Excel Advanced

Dear Stefania

Thank you for attending various courses with us!! I hope you enjoyed the courses and benefited from them.

Please refer to the uploaded Excel file where I have created a Pivot table.

I believe you have done Excel Advanced course with us on 10 Dec 2008 and hope that you are comfortable in creating Pivot tables.

What you will notice on my spreadsheet is the dates are appearing as Months.

I dragged the Month Field that contains the date on the Row header area. Then I right-clicked on the field and then chose Group...

In the grouping dialog box I chose Months (You can choose quarters if you want).

Once I saw my dates arranged in Months I dragged it in the Drop Page field here section so that I could filter them from month to month.

I hope this has answered your query.

If this has answered your query then I would request you to please mark the question as resolved!! If not and you have a specific question related to this then please post it as a new question and we should be able to provide you the solution for it!!

Kindest Regards

RE: Excel Advanced

Hi Rajeev,

I have just looked at your suggestion and I understand it really well now.
It is very clever to do the grouping for the month from dates in the row field and then tranfer to page field.
Thank you once again very much

Stefania
