RE: Slide number

Dear Alessandra

Thank you for attending PowerPoint Advanced course!! I hope you enjoyed the course and benefited from it.

There are two possible solutions to your query. One is by Microsfoft themselves but I believe that is not the best solution. Instead of me taking you step by step please refer to the following link:

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/powerpoint/HA102425451033.aspx

As you may relaise that it suggest you to type manually the total no. of pages which will not update if you delete a slide or add new slides in the future!!

Please refer to the following link: UNFORTUNATELY IT ONLY WORKS IN POWERPOINT 2003 BUT NOT IN 2007!!

http://billdilworth.mvps.org/PageXXofYY.htm

This is an ADD IN one of the professional have created that you can use.

Once you get to the above mentioned website click on CLICK HERE to download.

It will ask tyou to save or open. I suggest that you save it in a relevant place.

It is a zipped file so you'll have to unzip it. There is a text file that tells you what you need to do.

In short you need to change security setting of the macro to low so that Add In can be installed. It installs a toolbar asnd one of teh button is Slide #ing.

Please note that if you add or delete slides in your prewsentation you need to press teh same buton twice to ensure that tehg page numbers update automatically!!

Sorry I tried looking for same thing for 2007 but haven't been successful yet!!

I hope this has answered your query.

If this has answered your query then I would request you to please mark the question as resolved!! If not and you have a specific question related to this then please post it as a new question and we should be able to provide you the solution for it!!

Kindest Regards

RE: Slide number

Hello again,

I've looked at both solutions and unfortunately both are not helping for obvious reasons which you have stated.

Thanks for trying.

RE: Slide number

Dear Alessandra

I am sorry that the solution isn't working for you.

I'll try to look into this and verify if they have upgraded the Add in for PowerPoint 2007.

Powerpoint tip:

How to create an invisible Hyperlink

Draw a shape onto your slide covering the text you would want to use as your hyperlink. Insert your hyperlink on the shape, but then go the the paint bucket and choose no fill and then go the line colour and choose no line.

When you now run your slide show and hover over the word, you get a hyperlink.
