Excel Advanced

Hi,
I know that "Scenario manager" enables me to "try out" a set of values and watch the effect they have on some value which has been calculated using formula beacuse the teacher told me at the course, but I don`t remember how to do it.

Thanks a lot for your help

Stefania

RE: Excel Advanced

Hi Stefania

To create a scenario, go to Tools - Scenarios.

Click Add to create a scenario.

Under Scenario Name, give the scenario a name.

In Changing Cells, select the cells that contain the values you are going to want to change in the different scenarios you are going to create. These cells must contain numbers/values, not formulas.

Click OK.

At the next screen, either leave the values in the changing cells as they are (if you have already entered the values you want to use) or enter values you want to put into the changing cells.

Click OK when you've finished putting in the Scenario Values.

Then repeat the above, entering different scenario names and values as many times as required.

There is an example you can follow on the page below if you like:

Kind regards
Amanda
