Hi Corrine
Thank you for your quesiton. A quick way to do this is to open one project and from the insert menu choose project... and browse to find a second plan. Project will insert the second plan as a summary task that can be opened. You can then drag links between your tasks to connect them.

Ms project tip:

Change default view – Project 2010

a. In Project, click on the File tab
b. Select General from left hand side (this should be the screen displayed by default)
c. Set the Default view dropdown box to your chosen option
d. Click OK to apply your changes
