Hi Chrissie,

Thank you for your question.

Click the split task button on the standard shortcut toolbar. Hover over the Gantt bar on the Gantt chart and find the day at which the task needs to be split.

Once you have found it, hold the left mouse button down and drag the gantt bar to the desired date.

Ms project tip:

Entering Days

To type in a day of the week, or its three letter abbreviation, in a Date field type "Monday" or "Mon", and Project will show the date for the next Monday after the current date.
