RE: custom show

Hi Mary

To create a Custom Show do the following:

1. Open the presentation where you want to create the Custom Show

2. Select the Slide Show menu and click Custom Shows

3. Click the New button

4. Enter the Slide show name in the text box

5. Select slides from the Left panel and click the Add button to move them to the right panel in the order you want them to appear

6. When your Custom Show is ready Click OK

7. The Custom Show can now be viewed in 2 ways

a. Open the Custom Shows dialog box as in 2 above

Then Select the relevant show and click Show

b. Select the Slide Show menu and click Set Up shows

Then in the Show Slides section select the relevanr custom show and click OK

The next time you run the presentation it will run the Custom Show selected

Hope this helps

Carlos

Powerpoint tip:

Slide numbers in PowerPoint

Slide numbers can be applied in PowerPoint by going to View-Header and footer, then ticking the slide number box.

You can also choose the Don't show on title slide option so that slide numbers do not show on any title layout slides in the presentation.

If this option is ticked and the first slide is a title layout slide, this will mean slide 2 will be numbered as 2 rather than 1.

To change this and start slide numbering at 1 on the second slide, go to File - Page Setup and change the Number slide from: option to 0. Click OK.
