Access 2003 vs 1997

What are the key differences between Access 2003 and 1997 from the point of view of someone who has just taken the introductory course (ie not concerned with macros)

RE: Access 2003 vs 1997

Hi Chris

Do you mean 2007?

The main difference between 2003 and 2007 Access is the way it appears on the screen and the fact that the commands are now on a ribbon.

The way tables, queries, forms and reports are built is the same. So once you get used to the appearance of 2007 and find where the buttons are on the ribbon you should have no problem.

You can dowload an Access 2003 to Access 2007 interactive command reference guide from Microsoft to help you find known commands on the new ribbon:

If you meant 1997 then there are some features in 2003 that didn't exist in 1997 but the general make up is pretty similar.

Hope this helps

Carlos
