Dear Denise

Thank you for attending PowerPoint 2007 Introduction course!! I hope you enjoyed the course and benefited from it.

These are the steps to animate SmartArt ONLY. But to animate other objects such as Charts, Tables and Placeholders containing Text are very similar.

To animate the SmartArt graphics please carry out these steps:

1. Open the presentation that contains the SmartArt graphic

2. Click on the slide and then select the SmartArt object.

3. On the Ribbon choose the Animations tab

4. In the Animation group click the Custom Animation button.

5. On the right-hand side you should be able to see custom animation in the task pane.

6. Please click on Add Effect and then choose Entrance. If you want to see more than the listed ones then please choose More effects...

7. Choose the one that feel is relevant for the presentation. Press OK.

8. You will notice the animation you selected appears on the Custom animation task pane.
