RE: Master Slides

Dear Lesley

Thank you for attending PowerPoint Introduction course!! I hope you enjoyed the course and benefited from it.

Normally when you enter text in to the Placeholders PowerPoint has been programmed to fit all the content automatically within the placeholder. This is default setting because it becomes very frustrating if you had to manually adjust the placeholders' size.

If and when the text "overflows" on the placeholder then you must have noticed a small icon appear on the Bottom left hand corner of the placeholder (like a two horizontal lines and arrow pointing up and down).

You can click on the icon and then choose stop fitting text to this placeholder.

If you wish to make this as your default setting then you need to do the following:

1. Choose Tools > AutoCorrect option... from the Menu bar.

2. Please ensure that you have Autoformat as you type tab selected.

3. Under the section called "Apply as you type" please uncheck the option called "Autofit body text to the placeholder".

4. Press OK

I hope this has answered your query.

If this has answered your query then I would request you to please mark the question as resolved!! If not and you have a specific question related to this then please post it as a new question and we should be able to provide you the solution for it!!

Kindest Regards

Powerpoint tip:

Multiple Presentations

You can open as many presentations as your computer memory can handle, this is good for copying slides from one to another. To view all open presentations on screen, use the Window, Arrange All command. To scroll through all open windows one after another use the Ctrl+F6 command.
