FrontPage v Dreamweaver

What are the specific advantages of using Dreamweaver over FrontPage? What problems encountered in FP do not exist in DW?

RE: FrontPage v Dreamweaver

Hi Carole-ann,

Thanks for your question. I hope you enjoyed the Dreamweaver training.

In short, Dreamweaver has more features, but it doesn't mean you can't make a better page in Frontpage.

Dreamweaver and Frontpage are simply editors, that edit mark-up text. So rather than code in <b>bold tags</b>, you can just select the text and press the B button on the toolbar. All this is really doing is adding <b></b> around the text you selected.

See this article written by one of our web developers for a more detailed comparison: Dreamweaver Vs Frontpage

Also keep in mind that Frontpage has been superseeded by Expression Web. So really, Frontpage shouldn't get a look in. The comparison should now be between Expression Web and Dreamweaver.

If this answer resolves your query, please mark the question as 'resolved' (see below). Otherwise, please post a follow-up response to this post, and I will assist you further.

Regards, Rich
