Negative figures

how do u make the negatives figures appear red? and in brackets, whilst the positive stay the same in black?

Hi Sukaina, thanks for your question, to do what you have asked select the range of cells that you want to apply your formatting to, go to Format Cells and choose Number tab, in the number tab choose Custom, using the options displayed choose one to use as a guide, you will find one with [Red]. The first part of the custom number relates to Positive values, the second part (following the semi-colon) relates to Negative. change the Minus sign - to an Open Bracket ( and at the end of the entry, insert a close Bracket )
