Dear Ade

Thank you for attending Excel Advanced course!! I hope you enjoyed the course and benefited from it.

To import data from the website you follow these steps:

1. Click on a blank sheet and click where you would like to start the data to be imported.

2. Choose Data > Get external data > New Web Query....

3. Type the web address on eth address bar on the dialog box

4. Browse through the section that you wish to import. Note that the data is all arranged in tables and you should be able to see the arrow with yellow box around it.

5. Click the yellow box with arrow so that it turns in to a green tick.

6. When you finish press Import button on the bottom right hand corner of the window.

A message will ask you to import the web information on the same sheet or a new sheet.

Choose the relevant choice and you should be able to see the web information on your spreadsheet.

Excel tip:

Select Single Data Marker

To select a single data marker in a chart, ie line, bar or column;
After you have pressed Ctrl+Click (to select the entire chart) you can press the Up or Down arrows to select a data series, then press the Left or Right arrow to select a data point within that series.
