Appending queries

When I tried to run an append query I selected my table to take entries from, but the table I wanted to append them too was not available on the list. When I reversed the process, switching the tables around it worked perfectly. Numerous attempts and fiddling later, I could not work it out.

Thank you for attending Access Intermediate course!! I hope you enjoyed the course and benefited from it.

This problem could be because of several reasons and I have researched on the web for a while now to see what could be the best possible reason for this problem.

I managed to come across the following link. I know that the thread to this link is quite long but it provides you with many possible solutions that could rectify the problem.
