RE: Tables

Hello Paul

Thank you for your question.

Having different headers and footers on different pages in a document requires you to split the document into sections.

To create a section:

1. Position your cursor at the point that will be the end of a section.
2. Go to Insert and select Next Page from the section break options, click OK.

To set up a different header or footer in a section:
1. Go into the Header or Footer in section 2 of your document (you will see that Word displays which section you are in above the header or footer).
2. On the Header/Footer toolbar, click the Link to Previous button. This disconnects the header (or footer) in Section 2 from the header (or footer) in Section 1.
3. Now create your header (or footer) in Section 2. If you check the header (or footer) in Section 1, this should not have the same information displaying in it as the header (or footer) in section 2.

I hope this helps.

We cover creating sections and different headers and footers in our Word Intermediate course.

Kind regards
Amanda

Word tip:

Inches to Centimenters and Back

Set up in inches and want to work in centimeters or the other way round?
Select Tools, Options and choose the General Tab, click the drop-down arrow next to the text box displaying 'Inches' and choose Centimeters. Note there are two other options Picas and Points these are Printer's terms, (72 points = 1 inch in printed size.)
