RE: Excel conversion

Thank you for attending Access 2007 Introduction course!! I hope you enjoyed the course and benefited from it.

I am not sure if you wanted to export to earlier version of Excel or Access.

As a matter of fact it doesn't matter. The answer is yes you can export Access 2007 to earlier version of Excel or Access.

If you are exporting it to Access it is fairly straight forward.

You select the table that you wish to export.

Click on the External Data tab on the Ribbon.

Under the Export Group Click More and then choose Access Database.

Locate the database you want to export the table into

Press Ok button.

You may get a message if you want Definition and data or Definition only to be exported. This simply means if you want the Design view of eth data base to be exported ( Definition only) or do you want both the design view as well as all the records ( definition and data) to be imported.

If you are exporting it to an Excel file then simply:

chose the table that you wish to export

On the ribbon choose External Data tab.

Under the export group choose the Excel icon.

In the file format choose the Excel 97- 2003 Workbook option.

Press OK.
