Hi Yunia
thank you for your question. You have several choices when it comes to estimating the duration of your tasks. These include:
Bottom up:
Working out all the tasks involved in an activity - adding up their respective duration and using that total to set the duration for the Activity.
Phased:
Estimating durations for tasks in the current/next phase of your plan. They are closer to you so might be easier to forecast. The durations for later tasks can be more broadly estimated and only get refined once their phase is getting close to starting.
The main thing is to be consistent and document the method you choose so it's clear when your project is running how the durations were originally arrived at.
