RE: Powerpoint Masters

Hello Alyson

Thank you for your question and welcome to the forum.

There are a couple of ways of going about this.

One is to insert a slide from a presentation that contains the master slide formatting you would like to use.

1. Go to Insert - Slide from File.
2. Browse for and select a file containing the master slide you'd like to use.
3. Select a slide from the presentation, and tick the 'Keep source formatting' box.
4. Insert the slide.
5. When you go into the slide master view, you should see the master slide for the presentation you inserted the slide from.
6. Right-click on the master slide and select Preserve.
7. Close out of Slide Master View.
8. Delete the slide from the other presentation if you don't need it.
9. To apply the slide master formatting, go to Format - Slide Design and click on the preview showing your slide master formatting to apply it.

The second way is to save the presentation with the design in it as a template (.pot) file; then

1. Go to Format - Slide Design.
2. Click the Browse link under the default templates.
3. Select the .pot file, click OK.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards
Amanda

RE: Powerpoint Masters

Thanks For this. I need to spend some time playing so consider this one closed off for now. If I get stuck, I'll get back to you.
