Can you insert links (hyper) in records that will automatiaclly open the relevant file, e.g, last years accounts pdf.

Hi Chris

The short asnswer is yes. To do this:

1. In the table's design view create the field and in the Data Type column select Hyperlink

2. Save the table

3. In the relevant data value area (either in the table or the form type in the ull pathe to the document (eg. Z:\Accounts\Accounts 2007.pdf)

4. The writing will appear in blue and underlined (hyperlinked). This also works from the net and e.mail
