Thank you for your question.
A declared Public proceudre can be called from within other modules but a Private procedure is only available to other procedures in the same module.
Public Variables can be declared at the top of any standard Public module. These are available to all procedures in all modules.
Dim and private are used in the Declarations section which is outside the procedure itself. This is done in the Option Explicit. These will be available to all procedures in the same module.
