Webserver recommend

Can you recommend a portable webserver that supports IIS, in particular .asp pages, that can run on a USB stick?

I am trying "Baby Server" and it will display simple output pages but locks the db file so you can't do an active search or edit/input to the db.

RE: webserver recommend

Hi Eddie,

The ones I know of are:
http://www.codeproject.com/KB/aspnet/TinyWebServer.aspx
http://www.chsoftware.net/en/useware/mowes/mowes.htm
http://ampstart.ampstart.com/
and
http://www.stunnix.com/prod/aws/overviews.shtml

But I'm sorry to say I haven't used any of them as haven't had a need to yet. I think most of those listed above allow for ASP. Mowes doesn't though.

Good luck.

Regards, Rich

Dreamweaver tip:

Xhtml vs html

When using dreamwear template or just creating a blank webpage, you are able to select the markup language you want to use. The main choices are either xhtml or html. It is now best to select xhtml as this will translate all the html into xml, so it is transmitted across the web in xml format. One of the main advantages of this is that it makes the site that you build much more compatible with the range of different web browsers that exist.
