When opening a new database from an existing one open, you cant easily go back to your original database. Can you do this without re-opening?

RE: Databases

Hi Stephen,

Thank you for your question.

Unfortunately there is no way I know of, for opening and viewing two databases in one instance of access.

You have to either open another instance of Access and then open the second database or open it from the source folder.

I hope this answers your question.

Regards

Simon

Access tip:

Create An Inaccessible Field On A Form

There is sometimes a need to make a field in a form look like a normal field but be completely inaccessible to the user. To do this:

In the Field's Properties
Set the ENABLED property to No
Set the LOCKED property to Yes

The field will not grey out, but the user will not be able to do anything with it.
