Hi Jonathan

Thank you for your question. PERT analysis stands for Program Evaluation Review Technique and is a tool to help estimate the duration for tasks.

From the View menu choose Toolbars > Pert Analysis

From here you can set your Optimistic, Pessimistic and Exptected durations for your task. Clicking on calculate will make Project work out a weighted average based on the three values to create a new estimated duration for your task.
