RE: macro

Hello Faye

Thank you for your question and welcome to the forum.

To record a macro:

1. Go to Tools - Macro - Record New Macro.
2. Enter a name for the macro (this cannot include spaces).
3. If you would like to specify shortcut keys to run the macro, or write a comment about what the macro does, you have the options to do this as well.
4. Click OK. Excel now starts to record what you are doing.
5. Go through the steps you would like the macro to take for you.
6. Go to Tools - Macro - Stop Recording.

Kind regards
Amanda

forum postHi,

When I open a workbook that is linked to another workbook, the links do not Update unless the first workbook is open on my screen. How do I make the links update whether the first workbook is open or not?

Thanks,

Kate
