Hi There,

At the Dreamweaver Introduction course we were shown how to make a rollover effect with text and tables and I have forgotten how to do this.

I remember you has to create a table with some text and then make the text into links, then we merged all that rows and created a new table with the same amount of rows. We then cut and paste the links text one by one into the new table.

Would you please refresh my memory on how to do this as I can't?

(I'm trying to create a side menu with some text and I would like to have the whole area in the table change colour if your mouse goes over it)

Thank you and I hope this makes sense!

Stephen

To create a rollover:
In the Document window, place the insertion point where you want the rollover to appear.

Choose Insert > Interactive Images >Rollover Image.
The Insert Rollover Image dialog box appears.

In the Image Name text box, type a name for the rollover.
In the Original Image text box, click Browse and select the image you want displayed when the page loads, or enter the image file’s path in the text box.
In the Rollover Image text box, click Browse and select the image you want displayed when the pointer rolls over the original image, or enter the image file’s path in the text box.
If you want the images preloaded in the browser’s cache so no delay occurs when the user rolls the pointer over the image, select the Preload Images option.
In Alternate Text, enter text to describe the image for viewers using a text-only browser. (optional)
In the When Clicked Go to URL text box, click Browse and select the file, or type the path to the file that you want to open when a user clicks the rollover image.
