Hi JamesThanks for your question. One example for this involves two tasks sitting an exam and revising for exam.
In this case the exam is in the future but is driving when the revision takes place, so the exam is the predecessor and the revision the successor.
It is the start of the exam that determines when the revision will finish. So the relationship between the tasks is Finish to Start.
