Project Introduction course

Task ownership

Can you add columns in to show who is responsible for each task? e.g. Not adding resource / costs to each task but a column that you can manually input 'client' or 'GU' so we could filter and only display client tasks etc.

RE: Task ownership

Hi Natasha

Thank you for your question. You can add a spare field and use this to label your tasks as you wish. Right click on the one of your column headings (e.g Task Name) and from the short menu that appears choose insert column. MS Project will open a dialog box that lets you choose which of the fields in the database you wish to display. There are several spare fields available. Text1 would work well for adding labels to your tasks. Once you have chosen the field click OK. You can add your text labels to the tasks and apply filters as needed. If you want the column header to have a more meaningful label give it a double click and add a more descriptive title.

I hope this helps. Do let us know if you have any further questions.

Kind regards,
Andrew
