Hi Kezia! Hope you well.

I think Garry misinterpreted your question here.

There are a few ways you can do this. The best way (if it's something like the current 'scrolling' graphic we have at the top of this page) is to use an animated GIF graphic. This is almost like a mini-movie in that it has frames, and you can set the time interval for each frame. So if you wanted a graphic to flash, you'd just have 2 frames. To create GIF files you will need a program like Adobe Flash or Photoshop/Animation shop. Or perhaps download a free GIF tool.

Also consider the HTML [marquee] or [blink] tags if it's just a little text icon you want to flash on and off. May not work in all browsers.

You can use Dreamweaver's build-in javascript function Swap Image, but your page would also then require a 'timeline' (also created in Dreamweaver) to ensure it swaps the image at your specified time intervals eg. every 3 seconds. This causes a lot of extra code in your file, and may not work in all browsers.

I'd give Timelines a quick read-over in Dreamweaver Help. Basically, you need to turn Timeline panel on, drag the image you want to swap to the timeline, create a new key-frame halfway, create a Swap Image behaviour at that keyframe and set Timeline to autoplay.

I hope this answers your question. If so, please mark this question as 'resolved' below.

Give my regards to Hugo.
Rich
