Form fields - Date format

Hi

I have a date form field in my template and set the preference to date only with my own setting of D MMMM YYYY. This works all fine, but if the user puts in for example 2nd June 2009, the field automatically changes to 1 June 2009. This is not right and I would like it to change to 2 June 2009. It also does this when all these other formats are inserted after a number 'rd' 'st' and 'th'

Please could you advise?

Many thanks

RE: Form fields - Date format

Dear Katie

Thank you for your question!

Please note that the ordinals don't get recognized if the user inputs the day Month and then the year i.e. 21st June 2009. It reverts back to the first of that month i.e. 01/6/2009.

But if the user inputs the Month first and then the date with eth ordinals it seems to work fine. i.e. August 21st 2009. The date format with eth correct date is displayed i.e. 21 August 2009.

Please find uploaded template file that I was using as test.

I hope this has answered your query.

If this has answered your query then I would request you to please mark the question as resolved!! If not and you have a specific question related to this then please post it as a new question and we should be able to provide you the solution for it!!

Kindest Regards

RE: Form fields - Date format

Hi Rajeev

Many thanks for this. I realise there are probably ways around it but I need to be able to stop people from putting in 21st January 2009 for example and surely if it can work with the month first, there should be a way to make it work the other way?

Word tip:

Table Headers on Subsequent Pages

To make sure that your tables if they carry on to subsequent pages have a Table header on each page.
Select the rows at the top of the table which you would like to repeat on subsequent pages, select Table, Heading Rows Repeat. Note this does not work if you insert a hard page break (CTRL+Enter)
