Naming Ranges

If you have named a range say A2:A5 and you want to extend it A7 do you have to delete the range and re-do it A2:A7 or can you edit it

For upcoming training course dates see: Pricing & availability

RE: Naming Ranges

Hi David

You can edit any range previously created. To do this:

1. Select the Insert menu and then select Name
2. Click Define in the sub menu
3. The Define name dialog box appears
4. Select the Name to be edited
5. Change its address in the Refers to: area
6. Click OK

The Name will now refer to the new range

Hope this helps

Carlos

Excel tip:

How to Remove Duplication's from a selection of data in an Excel 2010 Worksheet

It would take far too much time to scan through rows and rows of data to find and remove duplicate data. So, here's how to do this using a much more efficient method:-

1) Select the data that might contain duplication's
2) Click the ''Data'' tab
3) Go to ''Data Tools'' and click ''Remove Duplicates''
4) A box will appear. Tick the boxes of the columns that you want to use to check for duplicates. Finally, click ''OK.''
