Hi Lisa

Thank you for your question.

One way to find a good percentage to allow for holidays and illness would be to look back over previous projects and review what has happened in the past. Alternatively your organisation may have a figure that can be used for planning purposes. Either way it's good to include the method used in your project documentation to clarify how the project duration was derived.
