Multiple linked spreadsheets

I am getting large rounding differences on a couple of spreadsheets. These have linked sheets within a workbbook that is also linked to 2 maybe 3 other workbbooks. All data is correct but the totals are out. This seems to be rounding.

Any ideas?

Thanks

RE: Multiple linked spreadsheets

Hello Ellen

Thank you for your question and welcome to the forum.

When you say 'large rounding differences', would you be able to provide some examples?

Kind regards
Amanda

RE: Multiple linked spreadsheets

Hi Ellen

Thanks for elaborating on your query.

Have you checked to see if the link is updating itself properly, so when you change a figure in the workbook with 13 sheets whilst the other file is closed, that the figure updates when you open the second workbook with the link?

Amanda

Excel tip:

How to apply the same formatting and data to multiple sheets at the same time in Excel 2010

When you want to format more than one sheet in a worksheet exactly the same way, Ctrl-click the tabs of the sheets you want to group together and they will all turn white. While they are grouped, anything you enter in one sheet gets entered into the others.

After you have done this, remember to click on the tabs to take them out of the group so that you do not accidentally insert data in multiple sheets when you just want to insert data in one.
