I operate Outlook via a hosted service (Cobweb), and have noticed that I seem to occassionally have additional folders of contacts appear.

I use Plaxo to keep my contacts updated, but this only seems to update one of the folders.

The folders I currently have are: 'Contacts (1)' and 'Contacts' (both folders under 'My Contacts'); and under 'Other Contacts' I have a folder that I have named myself (with my business name). The data does not seem to be the same accross all folders, and some entries are repeated in the same folder and cannot be deleted.

My question is - how do I set up and maintain only one contacts database, ensure that it can be updated by Plaxo, and make back ups of my contacts to protect the data from problems at the Host Server?

Thanks for your posting! Since you are working with a bespoke solution and third party software incorporated into Outlook, this would involve a trainer/consultant having to appraise your set-up at your site.
