Access stability for large DBs
Is Access 2007 any more Stable when conatining a large amount of data than Access 2003?For upcoming training course dates see: Pricing & availability
RE: Access stability for large DBs
Hi NickThank you for your question
After some research there is little evidence that access 2007 is any different from Access 2003 in terms of data storage and stability.
The stability of an access database when storing large amounts of data is actually most determined by the number of simultaneous users. Assuming that you have split the database into a back and multiple front ends then typically 50 or less users can work with a database of around 1GB in size. It should be noted that the maximum size supported by Access is 2GB.

Stephen
