Access 2003 to Word

Hello,

I have created a form in Access that I would like to send via email. Is there anyway of converting the file into .doc.or pdf (the recipient only needs to view the file)????

Thank you,
Dania

RE: Access 2003 to Word

Hi Dania

Thank You for your question

It is actually quiet simple to publish for form in Microsoft Word. You can then email it as an attachment

Open you database and go to the forms view in the database window. Select the form that you want to send

In the middle of the Access tool bar you will see a button with either a Microsoft Excel or Word icon on it. Select the arrow along side it and from the resulting menu choose, "Publish it with Microsoft Word". This will the create a word document showing the data in the form.

Hope this helps

Regards

Stephen

Access tip:

Splittng a database

Split your database into two (at least).

Keep all of your code, forms, reports, etc. in one 'code' database and all of your tables in another 'data' database which is then linked to the 'code' database.

This makes modifications, updates and back-ups that much easier and allows you to work on a new version of your 'code' database without affecting existing users. It also makes it easier should you wish to convert a single user databases into a multi-user networked version.

forum postIf I have a number of high res PDF's whats the best way of importing them into power point whilst keeping the file size down. At the moment my ppt docs can be as big as 150MB.
